In the course of the sitting it was informed that according to the order of the Ministry on Science and Education of Ukraine from 23 March 2010 No230, Ukrainian Institute of Scientific-Technical and Economic Information was deprived of legal entity status.
V. Polokhalo emphasised that according to the law "On Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine"
В.Полохало підкреслив, що, згідно із Законом "Про Кабінет Міністрів України" та and Resolution of the of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine from 14 April 1997, the decision on reorganization of the state scientific institutions is passed by the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine and not by certain Ministry, hence deprivation of legal entity status of Ukrainian Institute of Scientific-Technical and Economic Information is illegal and contradicts with the legislation principles", the Chairman of the Committee emphasised.
In the result of the discussion, the Committee resolved to recommends that the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine analyzes the situation regarding the development of the national system of scientific-technical information and its correspondence to the legislation of Ukraine and direct relevant information to the Committee before 25 May 2010.
